Following a background in adviser training, presenting and writing technical articles, Fiona joined retirement planning specialist Intelligent Pensions in 2017.

Having (obviously) started young she now has over 30 years’ experience in pensions, including lengthy periods of service with both Royal London and Aegon. She is currently responsible for overseeing the advice delivered by Intelligent Pensions meets quality and compliance standards and is also a Pension Transfer Specialist.

Fiona has been heavily involved in updating the firm’s advice processes and documentation, and has a special interest in issues related to the gender pension gap and promoting consumer understanding.

Fiona is qualified as a Fellow of the Personal Finance Society and is a 3 times past President of the Local Institute of the CII in Edinburgh, as well as a Governor of The Pensions Policy Institute.

She lives in North Berwick with her husband, a teenager and a slightly mad cockapoo. No prizes for guessing which one talks to her the most.
